The French Cup “Technique and Combat” of Viet Vo Dao Traditional Vietnamese Martial Arts under 14 year-old took place on Saturday 5 and Sunday May 6, 2018 in Villebon near Paris.
Approximately 450 participants competed in this national-level competition.
7 selected participants from Île de Ré performed very well and almost all of them finished on the podium.
About twenty people were on the trip to Paris including the management team, referees, and parents of participants. They brought back 10 medals from this competition.
At the technique competition on Saturday:
- The team of Loïc Nogues, Djalil Penaud, Alan Brahmi won the French cup in “Technique” for the minime category.
- Ewan Brahmi finished third in the category poussin
- Jade Poublanc finished third in the weapon technique (fan) in the category minime
- Loïc Nogues finished 3rd in the category benjamin
At the combat competition on Sunday:
- Djalil Penaud finished second in the category minime – 50 kg.
- Jade Poublanc finished third in the category minime – 55 kg
- Colline Penaud finished third in the category poussin – 30 kg
- Alan Brahmi finished third in the category minime – 45 kg
The next important events will be:
- The French combat championship at the famous Halle Carpentier in Paris on 26 and 27 May 2018. (Nina Delagrange and Léo Biamouret will defend the colors of the club of Île de Ré).
- The Thanh Long French Cup (Grandmaster Phu trophy) in Clermont-Ferrand on the 9 and 10 June 2018.
